Busan Cultural Center (CEO Cha Jaekeun) and Busan Finance Center Promotion Agency (President Lee Myeongho) signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on July 12 at the Busan International Finance Center (BIFC).

View original imageThrough this agreement, Busan Cultural Center and Busan Finance Center Promotion Agency will pursue various activities to integrate culture and the arts into the financial ecosystem to vitalize the Busan financial hub, and will make efforts to organize performances to foster the related ecosystem.
Through this agreement, Busan Cultural Center will hold eight performances by the Busan Metropolitan City Arts Group in the BIFC lobby every Thursday during lunchtime from July 25 to September 5, targeting employees of resident organizations and others.
The string quartet performance by the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra, held as a pilot on July 3, drew attention as a major event at the BIFC, which houses 5,000 residents, and received positive reviews for providing healing and improving work efficiency during the day with music.
The Busan Finance Center Promotion Agency requested cooperation for performances by the Busan Metropolitan City Arts Group, noting that major global financial cities such as New York, London, and Tokyo strategically utilize culture and the arts to enhance the competitiveness and recognition of their financial hubs.
Cha Jaekeun, CEO of Busan Cultural Center, said, "With this agreement, we plan to actively promote opportunities for Busan citizens to enjoy culture through various performances by the Busan Metropolitan City Arts Group, while creating a Busan financial hub ecosystem that merges art and finance."
The Busan Metropolitan City Arts Group will begin with a string quartet performance by the Busan Philharmonic Orchestra on July 25, followed by a wind quintet from the orchestra, Korean traditional chamber music, choral performances, and more.
