President Yoon Suk-yeol returned to Korea on the night of the 12th after a 5-day, 2-night visit to the United States, arriving at Seoul Airport.
On the 10th and 11th (local time), President Yoon attended the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) summit, holding bilateral meetings with more than 10 countries, including South Korea-US and South Korea-Japan summit talks. During the summit with President Joe Biden on the morning of the 11th, they adopted a joint statement on the "ROK-US Combined Nuclear Deterrence and Nuclear Operations Directive for the Korean Peninsula."
He also carried out a busy schedule including the Indo-Pacific Partners 4 (IP4) summit and delivering a keynote speech at the Public Forum.
Before the NATO summit, President Yoon visited Honolulu, Hawaii, where he visited the United States Indo-Pacific Command, a symbol of the ROK-US alliance, and the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific.

Through this visit to the United States, President Yoon voiced criticism of military and economic cooperation between Russia and North Korea, including NATO member countries and IP4, and strengthened international solidarity with allied and friendly countries.
