Facing calls to withdraw from the presidential race, U.S. President Joe Biden stated on the 11th (local time) during a solo press conference held in Washington DC, "If I think I need to undergo a neurological examination, I will take the test."
When asked whether he agrees to be tested amid controversies surrounding his advanced age and cognitive decline, President Biden said, "I am tested every day on my neurological abilities through the decisions I make."
He added, "If I think there is a problem, or even if I don't think there is a problem but believe I should take another neurological test, I will do so," but also responded, "No one (medical staff) is suggesting that right now." He further noted that no matter what he does in the current situation, "no one will be satisfied."
