Taekwang Group Ilju Foundation Provides 160 Million Won Support to Overseas PhD Scholarship Students

Ilju Foundation supports students admitted to doctoral programs at prestigious overseas universities.

Taekwang Group Ilju Academic and Cultural Foundation announced on the 12th that it awarded scholarship certificates to seven students selected as the 32nd overseas doctoral scholarship recipients for 2024 at the Heungkuk Life Building in Jongno-gu, Seoul.
The selected scholars have been admitted to doctoral programs at prestigious universities such as MIT, Harvard University, Stanford University, Princeton University, and UC Berkeley, majoring in fields including physics, mathematics, electrical engineering, biotechnology, and economics. Ilju Foundation supports each student with a total of $120,000 (approximately 160 million KRW) over four years to enable them to focus on their studies and research without financial difficulties.
Since starting the overseas doctoral scholarship program in 1991, Ilju Foundation has been selecting talented individuals evenly across various fields to promote balanced academic development. Including the seven selected this year, a total of 214 students have received 27.4 billion KRW in support over the past 33 years.
