National Police Agency Holds Security Industry Promotion Council Meeting... "Leading K-Security Worldwide"
Discussion on Technology Development and Overseas Market Expansion
On the 12th, the National Police Agency announced that it held the '2nd Public Security Industry Promotion Council' and discussed policy directions to be pursued in the mid to long term.

At this meeting, six new members were appointed, including Committee Member Kim Hong-il, who is serving as a senior advisor at the Korea office of the International Finance Corporation of the World Bank, to strengthen expertise in the development demand for public security technologies and securing overseas markets.
The National Police Agency plans to faithfully reflect the matters discussed at the council in the public security industry promotion policies and develop them into exemplary cases of collaboration among police, academia, and research institutes.

Yoon Hee-geun, Commissioner of the National Police Agency, stated, “In the case of the public security industry, there is no country that can be said to be in the leading group in the global market. If the current pace is maintained, K-Public Security will be able to lead the global public security industry,” adding, “We will strengthen public safety and field responsiveness, and ensure that the public security industry grows into K-COP to contribute to national interests.”
