The installed fire evacuation smoke masks can protect the respiratory system by preventing the inhalation of smoke and toxic gases in the event of a fire, providing approximately 15 minutes of evacuation time.
Yang Kyuyang, President of Daejeon Transportation Corporation, stated, "Daejeon Urban Railway has been manufactured in accordance with fire safety standards to minimize fire risks such as flames and smoke, meeting the 'Railway Vehicle Technical Standards.' We hope that citizens will feel even safer using the urban railway."
