GlassDome Launches National Research Project for 'LCA-Based Carbon Management Platform'
Cooperation with Korea Institute of Industrial Technology and Others
Responding to Global Regulations through Supply Chain Carbon Footprint Calculation and Dissemination
Glassdome Korea, a carbon emission data management solution company, announced on the 11th that it will participate in the national research project “R&D and Demonstration of a Data Platform for Carbon Management Based on LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises,” a core energy demand management technology development project by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy. Under the supervision of the Korea Institute of Industrial Technology, Glassdome plans to collaborate with a total of 23 institutions to demonstrate a carbon management platform for manufacturing companies, including supply chains.
Glassdome is a company that possesses technology capable of managing carbon footprints throughout the entire product lifecycle. Through its “Product Carbon Footprint Solution,” it provides a one-stop service from collecting carbon footprint data in manufacturing processes to monitoring and reporting, supporting companies in responding to global environmental regulations. Through this national research project, it plans to derive accurate product carbon footprints based on real data throughout the entire manufacturing process and introduce a data compatibility system that strengthens data transmission security between manufacturers and partners.
With this national research project, Glassdome expects to demonstrate and expand a supply chain carbon footprint calculation system in cooperation with companies exporting various materials and parts to global automobile manufacturers. Through this, it is anticipated that supply chain-level responses to global carbon regulations can be established, contributing to strengthening corporate competitiveness.
