Muan-gun, Hana Tour, Korea Airports Corporation Sign Tripartite Business Agreement for Muan Airport
Promoting Development and Revitalization as a Southwest Regional Hub Airport
Muan County in Jeollanam-do signed a business agreement with Hana Tour and Korea Airports Corporation on the 10th at Muan International Airport to revitalize Muan International Airport.
According to the county on the 11th, Kim San, the head of Muan County, Song Mi-sun, CEO of Hana Tour, and Yoon Sang-gyu, head of the Muan branch of Korea Airports Corporation, agreed at the signing ceremony to jointly work towards increasing passenger traffic and revitalizing the airport.
The agreement states that Hana Tour will strive to increase passengers at Muan Airport through the operation of various charter and regular routes to enhance convenience for overseas travel, and cooperate with Muan County and Korea Airports Corporation in selling travel programs and marketing strategies to boost airport users and revitalize Muan International Airport.

In response, Muan County will actively cooperate in administrative support such as promotion to increase flight operations and travelers, and create tourism demand. The Muan branch of Korea Airports Corporation will actively support Hana Tour to use Muan International Airport safely and conveniently, and make efforts to expand passenger convenience facilities and new commercial facilities for travelers and airport users.
County head Kim San said, “As Hana Tour, the largest travel agency in the country, actively steps up to increase users and revitalize Muan International Airport, the number of users will further increase, providing an opportunity to establish its status as a hub airport in the Honam region.” He added, “I sincerely thank everyone for their interest and cooperation in the revitalization of Muan International Airport.”
Following the regular route launches by Jin Air and Jeju Air in March and the business agreement for revitalizing Muan International Airport, expectations are rising that the agreement with Hana Tour will further activate Muan International Airport.
