Gwangju Shinsegae Opens Kids Beauty and Art Class DL Friends
80-Pyeong Space on the 2nd Floor of Emart on the 12th
Gwangju Shinsegae Co., Ltd. (CEO Lee Dong-hoon) announced on the 10th that it will open ‘DL Friends,’ a space where children customers can enjoy everything from beauty to art experiences, on the 12th.
‘DL Friends’ is located on the 2nd floor of E-Mart, covering a total area of 80 pyeong, designed as an experiential play culture space with the concept of a garden of achievements, expected to be popular by offering children customers a special experience.
It is designed as an art & beauty class space where children can engage in multi-experiences such as communicating with peers in an independent space and creating creative works that help develop fine motor skills. It operates in a membership format including day passes and annual memberships, and by purchasing coupons for beauty or art classes, customers can participate in classes under the guidance of an instructor.
As a special event to celebrate the opening, for three days until the 14th, customers visiting the store will receive a ‘DL Signature Candy’ on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, customers who bring an invitation to the store will receive a 10% discount benefit valid for the day.
Furthermore, during this period, membership customers who bring an invitation will be able to attend a special magic & balloon show featuring DL Friends characters at 3 PM, limited to 40 people.
The invitations will be distributed twice at 1 PM and 2 PM by the DL Friends characters ‘Judy, Ria, and Ella’ as they walk around the department store, and can be used on the same day.
The DL Friends program consists of a beauty class where children go through basic care and cleansing every month, choose a dress, receive makeup and hair styling, and have a photo time, as well as an art class where they create various works such as slime and mirrors, expected to attract children customers.
Meanwhile, special classes will be held every Tuesday and Thursday by reservation, running for two hours from 3 PM, inviting instructors from various fields such as dance, pottery, and woodworking with a small group of 10 participants.
Lee Jeong-il, head of the new building team at Gwangju Shinsegae, said, “We hope ‘DL Friends’ will provide children customers with a unique experience and be a space where parents can take a short break,” adding, “We hope many people visit this unique space decorated as a wonderful garden of achievements and greenery that can stimulate children’s imagination and curiosity.”
