Doosan Enerbility Opens Era of Independent Long-Term Maintenance for Korean Gas Turbines
The First Fully Independent Case from Manufacturing to Maintenance
Targeting Andong Complex Unit 2, 380MW Class Gas Turbine
Performing Parts Supply and Planned Maintenance for 10 Years
"The K-Gasturbine, created together by over 340 domestic industry-academia-research institutes, we will take full responsibility until the end."
Doosan Enerbility announced on the 10th that it has signed a Long Term Service Agreement (LTSA) for the gas turbine of Unit 2 at Andong Combined Cycle Power Plant with Korea Southern Power. This is the first time Doosan Enerbility has signed a long-term maintenance service contract for a gas turbine it supplied.
This gas turbine is a 380 MW class product for which Doosan Enerbility signed a supply contract with Korea Southern Power in January this year. Unit 2 of the Andong Combined Cycle Power Plant is scheduled to be completed in March 2027 with a capacity of 569 MW in Pungsan-eup, Andong-si, Gyeongbuk Province.
Doosan Enerbility will perform ▲ supply and overhaul of high-temperature parts ▲ planned maintenance ▲ application of Doosan gas turbine customized digital solutions (early warning, remote monitoring service, etc.) ▲ performance and maintenance schedule guarantees for the gas turbine it supplied. The contract period is 10 years after completion.
Long-term maintenance service for gas turbines requires highly comprehensive capabilities and has so far been monopolized mainly by overseas gas turbine Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). With this contract, Doosan Enerbility not only solidifies its position as a gas turbine OEM but also secures stable long-term revenue.

Seungwoo Son, Vice President of Power Service BG at Doosan Enerbility, said, "This contract with Korea Southern Power will be recorded as the first case in which South Korea’s gas turbine industry achieves complete independence from manufacturing to maintenance. Since this gas turbine was created together by over 340 domestic industry-academia-research institutes, we will do our best to manage it so that the client can operate it well."

Since signing its first gas turbine supply contract in 2019, Doosan Enerbility has rapidly expanded its orders. Following Boryeong New Combined Cycle Power Plant last year and Andong Combined Cycle Power Plant in January, it signed a contract in June this year to supply main equipment including a 380 MW class gas turbine to Bundang Combined Cycle Power Plant. Doosan Enerbility plans to accelerate its business aiming to secure orders worth more than 7 trillion KRW related to gas turbines domestically over the next five years.
