Most Complaints to Daejeon City Council in Q2 Concerned Transportation Inconvenience
Among 21 Cases, Many Involve Potholes, Bus Waiting Times, and Motorcycle Crackdowns
The Daejeon City Council's analysis of civil complaints for the second quarter of this year (April to June) revealed that the highest number of complaints were related to transportation inconveniences.
According to the City Council on the 9th, out of 21 complaints received in the second quarter, most were related to roads and transportation, such as road potholes, bus waiting times, motorcycle crackdowns, and left-turn signal durations.
In addition, there were a series of complaints about inconveniences related to passage and noise at construction sites, road congestion, soccer fields, and festivals.
By standing committee, the Industrial and Construction Committee accounted for 28.6%, the Administrative and Autonomy Committee 14.3%, the Welfare and Environment Committee 9.5%, the Education Committee 4.8%, and the Operations Committee 4.8%. Complaints referred to other agencies such as autonomous districts accounted for 38.1%.
The Daejeon City Council plans to carry out field-oriented legislative activities to reflect citizens' voices in municipal administration and resolve issues promptly.
