Soonchunhyang University Selected for 'Advanced Industry Talent Training Bootcamp' Project

Soonchunhyang University announced on the 8th that it has been finally selected in the display sector for the Ministry of Education's "2024 Advanced Industry Talent Bootcamp" project.
The "Advanced Industry Talent Bootcamp" is a short-term intensive education program in which universities and companies jointly develop and operate courses to quickly cultivate talent needed in advanced industries. A total of 7 billion KRW will be invested in the project until February 2029.
Soonchunhyang University will have 23 full-time professors from the Department of Display New Materials Engineering, the Department of Nano Chemical Engineering, the Department of Electronic Information Engineering, and the Department of Mechanical Engineering participating in the project. On the corporate side, a total of 43 companies and organizations will participate, including Samsung Display, Chungnam Technopark, Duksan Neolux, 17 companies related to materials and components, and 22 companies related to processes and equipment.
Soonchunhyang University plans to jointly develop and operate courses with companies that are tailored to the needs of the display industry, reflecting local environment, university environment, company-specific, region-specific, and job-specific requirements.
In particular, with the cooperation and support of Chungcheongnam-do and local institutions, the university aims to cultivate specialized talent through commissioned education, field training, industry-academia projects, capstone design, and expert seminars utilizing external infrastructure such as the Chungnam Display Center and the Display Innovation Process Center.
President Kim Seungwoo said, "Through active cooperation among academia, industry, and government, we will contribute to the growth of Chungcheongnam-do as a display industry cluster region."
