In his inaugural speech that day, Vice Minister Park said, "We must also steadily prepare for the future of agriculture and rural areas."
He emphasized, "Entering the third year of the Yoon Seok-yeol administration, it is time to deliver tangible results to farmers and the public regarding the plans we have been pursuing, such as industrializing agriculture as a future growth industry and establishing income and management safety nets. We must focus on communication and collaboration with voices from the field and accurately and effectively inform the public about the efforts we are diligently making."
He identified current pressing issues as structural problems including the increase in natural disasters due to climate change, aging population, and rural extinction, along with stabilizing agricultural product supply and demand, rice price stabilization, and contentious legislation.
Vice Minister Park said, "I will always keep my door open and communicate with staff. I will be a vice minister who supports you so that you can have confidence and pride and shares in addressing difficulties together. I will fulfill my duties to produce results that farmers and the public can feel."
