iM Bank Hires First External Branch Manager at First Commercial Bank Branch

iM Bank (formerly DGB Daegu Bank) announced on the 5th that it has appointed its first external recruit as the inaugural branch manager ahead of the opening of its first key branch since transitioning to a commercial bank, the Wonju Branch in Gangwon.

iM Bank began the public recruitment for the Wonju Branch manager position through a job posting in June, emphasizing the requirement of having work experience at financial institution branches in the Gangwon region. Ultimately, they selected Jeong Byeong-hoon, former Head of the Gangwon Sales Headquarters at NongHyup Bank, as the branch manager. He will also serve concurrently as the head of the Gangwon regional headquarters, overseeing the entire Gangwon area.

Director Jeong was born in Wonju and graduated from elementary school through graduate school in Wonju. Since joining NongHyup Bank in 1989, he has worked in various areas of Gangwon and retired in 2019 after serving as the Head of Credit Management Department at NongHyup Bank’s Central Headquarters and as Head of the Gangwon Sales Headquarters.

Starting with the Wonju Branch, iM Bank plans to recruit experts who are well-acquainted with local conditions in new regions where it expands. The bank expressed its ambition to ensure the early establishment of nationwide key branches and to provide financial services closely connected with each local community.
