Dongmyung University Runs Summer Sports Paddleboard Experience Program
Do-ing Education Innovation Center at Tongmyong University (President Jeon Ho-hwan) held the representative summer sports paddleboard experience program in Busan, ‘SUP Mater’, at Gwangalli Beach on July 4 and 5 to promote the spread of holistic education in body, virtue, and intellect.
The paddleboard experience, which followed the horseback riding program held in June, consisted of basic paddle training and the process of enjoying the experience while overcoming the waves.
Professor Han Sangjun of the Do-ing Education Innovation Center said, “The paddleboard experience, a summer sport, enhances students’ physical strength and sense of balance, and offers an opportunity to enjoy the sea in harmony. By learning how to safely ride a board in the ocean, students can build confidence to take care of themselves,” explaining the purpose of the program. Participating students agreed, saying, “Challenging ourselves with marine sports at Gwangalli Beach, a hot spot for young people, is an amazing experience.”
