US Democratic 'Big Donors' Also Urge Biden to Resign... Disney Heiress Says "Stop Donations"
"Should Be Replaced by Vice President Harris"
Major donors of the U.S. Democratic Party have joined the chorus calling for President Joe Biden's resignation.
On the 4th (local time), CNBC reported that Abigail Disney, heiress of the Walt Disney founding family, announced she would stop donating until the Democratic Party replaces its presidential candidate.
Abigail said, "President Biden is a good person and has contributed greatly to the United States, but the risks are too great," adding, "This is not rudeness but realism." She also stated, "If President Biden does not step down, the Democratic Party will lose," and "The consequences of that loss will be terrible."
She named Vice President Kamala Harris as the person to replace President Biden. Abigail said, "We have an excellent vice president," and added, "If the Democratic Party tolerated even one-tenth of Harris's shortcomings as it has tolerated Biden's, and if the party stops making excuses and finds a way to unite around Vice President Harris, we will win this election by a large margin."
Abigail is known as a longtime supporter of the Democratic Party. She is the granddaughter of Roy O. Disney, who co-founded Walt Disney alongside Walt Disney.
Abigail Disney is not alone. Major Democratic donors are increasingly cutting off donations while calling for President Biden's resignation. Gideon Stein, chairman of the Moriah Fund, said, "President Biden is a very good president, but if he does not step down, I will halt plans to donate more than $3 million (about 410 million KRW) to nonprofit organizations and political groups related to the presidential election."
Additionally, Carla Jervetson, a Silicon Valley psychiatrist who has donated over $5 million (about 690 million KRW) to the Democratic Party, is reported to have recently stated she will stop donating until Biden steps down.
Reed Hastings, Netflix founder and one of the major Democratic donors, also called for President Biden's resignation the day before.

On the 27th of last month, during his first TV debate with former President Donald Trump, President Biden's stuttering and inaccurate sentences brought his advanced age risk to the forefront. As a result, calls for Biden's resignation have emerged both inside and outside the Democratic Party. Within the party, starting with Representative Lloyd Doggett, longtime friends of Biden such as Representative Raul Grijalva and Representative Seth Moulton have also demanded that he withdraw from the re-election race.
