Ulsan City Wins Minister of Health and Welfare Award for Integrated Health Promotion Project
Healthy Living Spaces Reflecting Local Characteristics, Selected as Strategic Excellence Institutions
On the 5th, Ulsan City will be awarded the Minister of Health and Welfare Award as a strategic excellence institution at the '2024 Local Government Health Promotion Project Performance Conference' held at the The-K Convention Center in Seoul.
The city was recognized for its contribution to promoting citizens' health by creating healthy living environments tailored to local characteristics and supporting specialized health promotion projects in districts and counties.
The city provides health management services by visiting places with low accessibility to healthcare services, such as traditional markets and small businesses, and implements customized health promotion projects for each target group, including smoking prevention education for children and adolescents and joint physical activity promotion projects in districts and counties.
Additionally, the city is working to disseminate best practices by supporting specialized projects such as the Good Morning Health School initiative in Dong-gu and the resident-led small community health promotion project in Nam-gu.
