Pukyong National University Students Hold Veterans' Memorial Event for 16 Years, Honoring Korean War Veterans
Pukyong National University (President Jang Youngsoo) held a commemorative event for Korean War veterans at the Busan Veterans Welfare Center on the 4th.
On this day, 15 student volunteers from the PKNU UN Peace Volunteer Division (UN Volunteer Group) met with veterans from the Busan branch of the Korean War Veterans Association and delivered letters of gratitude and gifts.
Following their visit in November last year, Pukyong National University students once again visited the Busan branch of the Korean War Veterans Association, checked in on the veterans, and communicated by listening to their vivid stories and experiences.
The UN Volunteer Group, launched in 2009 at Pukyong National University located in the UN Peace and Culture Special Zone in Nam-gu, Busan, holds annual commemorative events for domestic and international veterans and carries out peace volunteer activities to promote the implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs).

Following the commemorative event, Pukyong National University, the UN Volunteer Group, and the Korean War Veterans Association held a business meeting and agreed to cooperate on events to honor the veterans and spread the spirit of UN peace.
