"Preventing Food Poisoning and Infectious Diseases ... Changwon Facilities Corporation Strengthens Sanitary Inspections"
Changwon Facilities Corporation in Gyeongnam is strengthening hygiene inspections to prevent food poisoning and infectious diseases during the summer season.
With the recent rainy season and the resulting hot and humid environment leading to an increase in pests and bacteria, the corporation has designated the period until early September as the "summer hygiene safety period" and is conducting hygiene inspections and education at each facility due to concerns over the possible outbreak of food poisoning and infectious diseases.
The hygiene inspections are carried out as cross-inspections of group meal facilities such as Changwon Municipal Sangbok Park, Changwon Football Center, and Jinhae Youth Campground, with participation from the safety team's health manager and nutritionists from each facility.
The main inspection items include the hygiene management status of cooking utensils, the management of preserved foods, the storage methods of food ingredients, and compliance with expiration dates. Education for the prevention of food poisoning is also being provided.
Chairman Kim Jonghae stated, "We will continue to do our utmost to create a safe facility environment free from food poisoning and infectious diseases through ongoing guidance and management."
