On the 4th, GH announced that it will install and support AI speakers for 1,000 socially isolated households living in GH rental housing, investing a budget of 2 billion KRW in collaboration with Woori Bank.
The AI speakers provide emotional stability through functions such as music listening, news, weather updates, and conversation. Usage is monitored, and if a household shows prolonged inactivity, the system will check on their well-being through inquiries or visits. Additionally, if danger signals such as "Save me" or "Help me" are detected, the 24-hour control center can immediately request rescue via 119.
Since March, GH has been conducting a pilot project research aimed at preventing solitary deaths and improving the quality of life for socially isolated households in GH rental housing.
By combining the solitary death prevention research service with this AI speaker support, GH plans to establish measures to early identify high-risk groups for solitary death and promptly incorporate and support them within the social safety net, thereby ensuring residential safety.
