The American internet media Axios reported this on the 28th (local time). The U.S. revision came amid Hamas delivering a modification proposal on the 11th to the original three-step ceasefire plan announced by U.S. President Joe Biden at the end of last month, drawing significant attention.
Earlier, U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken said regarding Hamas's modification proposal, "They proposed several changes, some of which are unacceptable," and added, "Mediators will work to narrow the differences in views."
Axios cited three sources saying that the U.S. revision is "part of efforts to narrow the gap between Israel and Hamas" and that "the United States created it together with ceasefire mediators such as Qatar and Egypt."
