'Inside Out 2' Ticket Revenue Surpasses 1 Trillion Won... Exceeds First Film
Disney Pixar Studio's animation "Inside Out 2" has surpassed the total ticket revenue of the first installment in just about two weeks since its release.
According to local media in the United States on the 28th (local time), "Inside Out 2" has earned $863.1 million (approximately 1.1928 trillion KRW) in ticket sales worldwide as of that day. This exceeds the total ticket revenue of $858.85 million (approximately 1.1869 trillion KRW) earned by the first film released in 2015.
In the North American market, since its release on the 14th, it has earned $411.8 million (approximately 569.1 billion KRW), surpassing "Frozen," which was released in 2013 and earned a total of $409.5 million in North America. If this trend continues, "Inside Out 2" is expected to become the first film this year to surpass $1 billion (approximately 1.382 trillion KRW) in worldwide revenue.
