Gokseong Mall Presents Special Discount Event on Apple Mango and Green Papaya
From July 1 to 15, 30% Discount for 2 Weeks
Opportunity to Taste High-Quality Tropical Fruits at Reasonable Prices
Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced that it will hold a 30% discount event on apple mangoes and green papayas for two weeks from July 1 to 15 on the local online shopping mall ‘Gokseong Mall’ to welcome the summer season.
This event offers an opportunity to enjoy domestic apple mangoes, which are gaining attention as a special summer fruit, at a more affordable price. It is being held in collaboration with 'Immanuel Art Farm' in Ip-myeon, Gokseong-gun.
Gokseong apple mangoes are of the Irwin variety, which is in season, characterized by a bright red skin reminiscent of apples, sweet flavor, and a unique deep aroma.
Meanwhile, green papaya is well known as the main ingredient in the Thai dish 'Som Tam' and can be enjoyed in salads or as a seasoned dish. It contains abundant papain enzymes that aid digestion, as well as various vitamins and minerals, making it highly nutritious.
A county official said, "Through this special event, you can enjoy high-quality tropical fruits that are usually hard to find at a low price," adding, "We also offer a 3,000 won coupon for new sign-ups and a shipping discount coupon, so we ask for your great interest and participation."
'Immanuel Art Farm,' the main player in this event, is a 2.3-hectare greenhouse farm located in Ip-myeon, Gokseong-gun.
Operated by the couple Jeong Jae-gyun and Park Kyung-eun since 2008, the farm specializes in cultivating various tropical crops including apple mangoes, green papayas, basil, and water spinach.
In particular, the farm has established a year-round production system using a heating system that utilizes waste heat from the Kumho Tire Gokseong factory, and it has obtained pesticide-free certification by using self-fermented organic compost.
Additionally, 'Immanuel Art Farm' is leading social contribution activities by donating part of its sales proceeds to local children through the 'Gokseong Love, Child Love Campaign.'
