"Unhappy with Prescription"…40s Man Arrested and Sent to Prosecution for Attacking Doctor with Weapon
Attempted Murder Charge... Doctor Injured Arm with Blade
A man in his 40s who wielded a weapon at a doctor in a hospital because he was dissatisfied with the medication prescription has been handed over to the prosecution in custody.
The Seocho Police Station in Seoul announced on the 28th that they had sent Mr. A, a man in his 40s accused of attempted murder, to prosecution in custody on the 25th.
Mr. A is accused of stabbing Doctor B in the arm with a weapon in the examination room of a private hospital in Seocho-dong, Seocho-gu, Seoul, at around 11:30 a.m. on the 19th.
Doctor B was injured in the arm and was taken to the hospital, but fortunately, it was confirmed that his life was not in danger.
The police, who responded to the report, arrested Mr. A at the scene. It was investigated that Mr. A committed the crime after visiting the hospital and being dissatisfied with the medication prescription.

The police applied for Mr. A’s arrest warrant on the 20th, and the court held a pre-arrest suspect interrogation (warrant review) on the 21st, issuing the arrest warrant citing "risk of flight."
