Gyeonggi-do Expands Baby Boomer 'Happiness Campus'
Gyeonggi Province is relocating and expanding the ‘Gyeonggi Baby Boomer Happiness Campus’ to support the re-advancement and increased social participation opportunities for the baby boomer generation.
On the 28th, Gyeonggi Province announced that it has expanded the Happiness Campus from six locations, including Anseong, operated last year to eight locations this year. The Happiness Campus is operated by the Gyeonggi Lifelong Education Promotion Institute, a lifelong education specialized organization.
The Happiness Campus is a comprehensive service space and a one-stop platform for life redesign for baby boomers aged 50 to 69.
Through the advancement of programs utilizing the experiences and careers of baby boomers, it contributes to the re-advancement and expanded social participation opportunities of baby boomers by providing lifelong education such as life redesign, job counseling services, community and local social contribution activities, and connections to employment and entrepreneurship.
This year’s Happiness Campus education programs reflect the demands of residents and the latest trends, offering regionally distinctive programs such as AI digital future education (Suwon), employment and entrepreneurship capacity building (Ansan), and culture and arts (Goyang).
Nam Kyung-ah, Director of the Baby Boomer Opportunity Division of Gyeonggi Province, stated, "We will do our best to provide comprehensive support so that baby boomers can visit the Happiness Campus anytime and access various opportunities to promote their re-advancement and active social participation."
