CJ ENM Becomes Official Broadcaster of Professional Basketball League... 4-Year Contract
"Contributing to Maximizing the Popularity of Professional Basketball"
CJ ENM has been selected as the official broadcaster for professional basketball. From the 2024-2025 season for four seasons, it will hold all rights related to KBL official tournament broadcasting, including video business rights and overseas broadcasting rights (including resale rights).
On the 27th, Koo Gyo-eun, head of CJ ENM Sports Division, stated at the professional basketball broadcasting rights signing ceremony held at the KBL Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, "We will contribute to maximizing the popularity of professional basketball, which is entering a new renaissance period."
Kim Hee-ok, KBL Commissioner, said, "We expect CJ ENM, which leads trends with a young and fresh sensibility, to deliver the games in an entertaining and dynamic way."
Both parties decided not to disclose the broadcasting rights fees.
CJ ENM will secure two or more channels, including the sports specialty channel tvN Sports, to broadcast all regular season and playoff games live. Streaming services will also be provided through the OTT platform TVING.

CJ ENM currently broadcasts major sports events such as the AFC Asian Cup, tennis majors including Wimbledon, UEFA Euro 2024, and UFC mixed martial arts. It also offers new media broadcasts of domestic professional baseball through TVING.
