10 Members of a Gang of Reckless Riders Arrested After Fire Extinguisher Sprayed During Central Line Violation
After 3 Months of Investigation, All 10 Arrested
They Gathered from Cheongju, Jeonju, and Other Areas After Seeing the Viral SNS Notice
The Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency announced that on the early morning of March 20th, they sent 10 individuals, including Mr. A, who caused traffic hazards by spraying fire extinguishers on the road in the Jung-gu area for about an hour, to prosecution without detention.
They are suspected of repeatedly committing traffic violations such as running red lights, crossing the center line, spraying fire extinguishers on the road, and some engaging in dangerous driving behaviors like drifting with vehicles.
The police arrested one motorcycle rider on the spot as a suspect in flagrante delicto and then formed a dedicated investigation team at the Daejeon Metropolitan Police Agency. After about three months of tracking investigation, all 10 were apprehended.
It was revealed that on the day of the incident, they came to Daejeon from places like Cheongju and Jeonju after seeing a reckless driving notice posted on SNS, participated in the reckless driving acts, and to evade police pursuit, they rode motorcycles with helmets on while removing or covering the license plates.
