Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam held the '2024 First Half Top CEO and Worker Awards' ceremony on the 26th at the city hall reception room to honor those who have made significant contributions to the Changwon economy.

View original imageThe Top CEO and Worker Awards are given to entrepreneurs and workers who have greatly contributed to the development of the local economy. Award-winning companies are selected as honored enterprises in accordance with the 'Changwon City Ordinance on Promoting Corporate Love and Business Activities,' and will receive preferential support for various policy projects promoted by Changwon City.
The recipient of the 'Top CEO Award,' TIC CEO Jung Bongchae, was highly praised for turning the company from deficit to surplus through improvements in sales and profit structure after taking office as CEO in 2013, achieving an average annual growth rate of over 10%, strengthening technological development capabilities by carrying out 30 national R&D projects, and making every effort to build a workplace where workers and management cooperate, including establishing collaborative labor-management relations.
The recipient of the 'Top Worker Award,' CTR employee Joo Jaeun, has contributed to industrial development by improving product quality and productivity based on the know-how and skills accumulated over 29 years in the production field since joining the company in 1994. As the union secretary-general, Joo was also highly recognized for improving the working environment and promoting labor welfare for workers.
Hong Nampyo, Mayor of Changwon Special City, said, "I would like to thank the entrepreneurs and workers who have achieved outstanding results despite difficult internal and external conditions. We will continue to communicate with businesses and do our best to develop support policies that can provide practical help to companies."
