Democratic Labor Union Opposes Differential Minimum Wage Application with 'Surprise Protest'... Over 20 Arrested in the Act
About 20 members of the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) who staged a surprise protest opposing the differential application of the minimum wage were arrested by the police.
Seoul Namdaemun Police Station announced on the 26th at around 10:42 a.m. that they arrested about 20 KCTU members on the spot for refusing to leave. Among them, one person complained of chest pain and was taken to a nearby hospital.

They are accused of staging a surprise protest from 10 a.m. at the first floor of the Seoul Employment and Labor Office in Jung-gu, Seoul, shouting for the suspension of discussions on the differential application of the minimum wage.
