The event was attended by about 190 people, including representatives from 32 domestic venture fund limited partners (LPs) and 90 general partners (GPs), as well as officials from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. The program included ▲ presentation of appreciation plaques by the KVCA chairman ▲ special lectures on the secondary market and KOSDAQ technology special listing ▲ and an investor networking program.
In particular, the event invigorated the market by awarding outstanding limited partners who have made significant contributions to fostering the venture investment ecosystem. The KVCA presented appreciation plaques to three institutions: IBK Industrial Bank, IBK Capital, and the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation.
In the subsequent special lectures, key issues in the venture investment market were shared under the themes of ‘Secondary Market Trends and Strategies’ by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development and ‘KOSDAQ Technology Special Listing System’ by the Korea Exchange. Additionally, participants engaged in networking in a relaxed atmosphere to communicate freely and explore opportunities for mutual collaboration and investment.
Yoon Geon-su, chairman of the KVCA, stated, “This event was planned to provide a new breakthrough for domestic VCs seeking investment opportunities amid the recent contraction of venture capital. The association will lead the growth of the domestic venture investment ecosystem by fostering a private-led venture capital market based on the participation of diverse investors.”
