Born in January 2005, Jjingjjingi lived as a stray cat before being adopted by Moon Dahye, former President Moon's daughter. Due to circumstances such as studying abroad, former President Moon took responsibility for raising him. Moon raised Jjingjjingi at his private residence and brought him to the Blue House after being elected president. On February 15, he also announced on his social media that he had lost his pet dog Tori, saying, "He left peacefully while all our family was watching."
