Korail Gwangju Headquarters Operates Eco Rail Trains to Heuksando and Hongdo
KORAIL Gwangju Headquarters operated the Eco Rail train (Seoul Station~Mokpo Station) for a riding tour of Heuksando and Hongdo, the cleanest areas in the southwestern region of Jeollanam-do, Sinan-gun, from the 19th to the 20th.
The Eco Rail train is a tourism train specialized for bicycle travel, equipped with racks that can carry regular bicycles, mountain bikes, and electric bicycles. The newly introduced product features a 25 km riding course along the Heuksando coastal road, passing landmarks such as Sangrasan Observatory, Jidobawi Rock, and Jeong Yak-jeon Exile Site, as well as a tour to Hongdo by taking the Hongdo sea cruise. This is part of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s ‘K-Tourism Island Development Project’ promoted in cooperation with Sinan-gun.
