Hanwha Aero Produces and Donates 253 Pairs of Customized Shoes for Korean War Veterans
Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and Hankyung Association's 'Steps of the Guardian' Project
Hanwha Aerospace announced on the 21st that it has successfully completed the 'Steps of the Guardians' project in collaboration with the Ministry of Patriots and Veterans Affairs and the Korea Economic Association.
This project is dedicated to providing custom-made shoes to Korean War veterans who have difficulty wearing standard shoes due to war-related aftereffects.
Since July of last year, marking the 70th anniversary of the armistice, Hanwha Aerospace partnered with a custom shoe manufacturer to precisely measure the feet of 174 Korean War veterans nationwide and 79 UN veterans using 3D scanners, producing and delivering a total of 253 pairs of shoes.
Through this project, Hanwha Aerospace received a commendation from the Minister of Patriots and Veterans Affairs.
The company stated that through this project, it honors the courage and dedication of the Korean War heroes and pledges to carry on their legacy.
