'KCON', the 12-Year History of Introducing Hallyu, to Be Held in Germany for the First Time in September
CJ ENM's KCON, which has promoted Hallyu including K-pop, will be held in Germany for the first time this September.
CJ ENM announced on the 21st that 'KCON 2024' will be held for two days on September 28 and 29 at Messe Frankfurt in Frankfurt, Germany.
KCON started in 2012 in Irvine, USA, and has been held annually in various regions around the world. This time, it will enter Germany for the first time.
Frankfurt, located in the center of Europe, is a transportation hub and is considered the center of fandom leading the K-pop market in Europe. Messe Frankfurt is one of the largest exhibition centers, hosting international events such as the MTV Europe Music Awards.
For the past 12 years, KCON has served as a platform where people can experience and enjoy various Korean cultures centered on K-pop, including food, beauty, and content.
Offline events have been held in a total of 13 regions including Korea, the United States, Japan, the United Arab Emirates, France, Mexico, Australia, Thailand, and Saudi Arabia, with a cumulative audience of approximately 1.83 million.
