Participants express their commitment to reducing plastic by posting photos or videos of themselves waving both hands (symbolizing "Bye") along with their pledge to practice plastic reduction, and then nominate the next participant on social media.
Park Yunkyung, Chairman of the Daegu Chamber of Commerce and Industry, stated, "I hope this campaign will raise awareness about the indiscriminate use of plastic and serve as an opportunity to take a step closer to environmental protection and carbon neutrality for a better future society."
Chairman Park nominated Nam Sunghee, President of Daegu Health College, and Min Bokki, President of the Daegu Medical Association, as the next participants to continue the Bye Bye Plastic Challenge.
