Hongseong-gun Achieves $10 Million Export Success in the United States
Yong-rok Lee, the mayor of Hongseong County, who embarked on a business trip to the United States, achieved export results worth 10 million dollars.
On the 19th (local time), Mayor Lee signed an MOU for North American market entry with the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency, the New York Korean Business Association, and the Hongseong County Entrepreneurs Association at the DoubleTree Hotel in New Jersey, USA, and held an export consultation meeting.
At the export consultation meeting, the popularity of Gwangcheon Gim, a specialty product of Hongseong, led to contracts totaling 10.6 million dollars (approximately 14.6 billion KRW).

Mayor Lee said, "Through this agreement, companies in the Hongseong area will be able to leap globally based on the support of the Chungnam Economic Promotion Agency and the experience of the New York Korean Business Association," adding, "We will create opportunities for local companies to grow by expanding the global sales network."
