BNK Gyeongnam Bank is the only financial institution in Gyeongsangnam-do to participate in and support the 'Resident-Oriented Veterans Policy,' a key initiative promoted by the provincial government.
On the 20th, BNK Gyeongnam Bank announced that it had signed a 'Business Agreement to Provide Preferential Benefits for National Meritorious Persons' with Gyeongsangnam-do and other organizations in commemoration of Patriots and Veterans Month.

View original imageAccording to the agreement, BNK Gyeongnam Bank, Gyeongsangnam-do, the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Housing Management Corporation, and the Gyeongsangnam-do Veterans Association Council will cooperate to provide preferential benefits to national meritorious persons residing in Gyeongsangnam-do.
In particular, BNK Gyeongnam Bank will offer preferential interest rates to national meritorious persons living in Gyeongnam who open a one-year time deposit account.
Additionally, the bank will provide exemptions from various electronic financial fees, including fees for interbank remittance at teller windows, passbook reissuance, reporting lost deposits, and issuing deposit certificates, as well as preferential rates for foreign currency exchange.
Heo Jonggu, Executive Director of the Changwon Business Headquarters, stated, "In commemoration of Patriots and Veterans Month, we have joined this agreement to honor and express our gratitude to the patriotic martyrs and fallen heroes who sacrificed for the country, and to support the 'Resident-Oriented Veterans Policy' promoted by Gyeongsangnam-do. I understand that there are about 57,000 national meritorious persons residing in Gyeongsangnam-do. We hope that local national meritorious persons will benefit from various preferential financial services through this agreement."
Meanwhile, the signing ceremony for the 'Business Agreement to Provide Preferential Benefits for National Meritorious Persons' held at the Gyeongnam Provincial Government was attended by Choi Manrim, Administrative Vice Governor of Gyeongsangnam-do, Heo Jonggu, Head of Changwon Business Headquarters at BNK Gyeongnam Bank, Kim Hyunwoo, Head of the Gyeongnam branch of the Korea Housing Management Corporation, and Park Hyeongin, President of the Gyeongsangnam-do Veterans Association Council.
