Drunk Driving Police Station Chief Caught After Citizen Report
The head of a police substation who caused a traffic accident while driving under the influence was caught following a citizen's report.
The Gwangju Gwangsan Police Station announced on the 20th that Sergeant A, affiliated with the Jeonnam Police Agency, has been booked on charges of violating the Road Traffic Act.
Sergeant A is accused of driving under the influence and crashing into a guardrail on a road in Sochon-dong, Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City at around 10:32 p.m. the previous day. The blood alcohol concentration was found to exceed the license cancellation standard of 0.08%.

The police apprehended Sergeant A after receiving a citizen's report and plan to proceed with disciplinary measures separately from the investigation.
