SPC Donates 22 Million KRW to Descendants of Independence Activists
Customer Matching Online Social Contribution 'Happy Share Campaign'
Fundraising Throughout March... Approximately 10,000 Participants
Support Provided for Medical, Educational, and Living Expenses
SPC Group announced on the 19th that it donated 22 million KRW to the descendants of independence activists through the Korean Red Cross in celebration of June, the Month of Patriots and Veterans.
In March, on the occasion of Samiljeol (Independence Movement Day), SPC conducted the 'Happy Share Campaign' and carried out a month-long fundraising campaign focused on supporting the descendants of independence activists. The Happy Share Campaign is held twice a year and allows customers to participate by donating Happy Points directly through the Happy Point application, leaving supportive comments, liking, or sharing stories introduced on the app. SPC then donates a certain amount on behalf of the customers.
About 10,000 customers participated in this Happy Share Campaign supporting the descendants of independence activists, resulting in a total donation of 20 million KRW from SPC and 2 million KRW donated by customers using Happy Points, which was delivered to the Korean Red Cross. The funds will be used through the Liberation Association, an organization supporting independence patriots, to cover medical expenses, educational costs, and living expenses for seven descendants of independence activists.
