Kim Dong-yeon, Best Job Performance in May... Ranked 1st Among 17 Provincial Governors
Gyeonggi Province Governor Kim Dong-yeon ranked first overall for the first time since the survey began in the May job performance evaluation of 17 metropolitan local government heads (mayors and governors) nationwide.
On the 18th, Realmeter, a polling agency, announced the results of the May job performance positive evaluation survey. Governor Kim recorded a positive evaluation of 58.8%, down 6.8 percentage points from the previous month, but ranked first overall. Governor Kim ranked 5th in the positive evaluation category when the survey started in August 2022, and 3rd in the evaluation in August 2023, one year later, maintaining a top-tier ranking. This year, he rose to 4th place in March, 2nd place in April, and 1st place in May.
Meanwhile, in the nationwide satisfaction evaluation of residents in 17 metropolitan cities and provinces, Gyeonggi Province recorded 65.6%, down 1.4 percentage points from the previous month (67.0%), maintaining the same 2nd place ranking as the previous month. The 1st place was taken by Daejeon Metropolitan City, which recorded 66.7%, down 2.1 percentage points from the previous month (68.8%).
This survey was conducted by Realmeter using a random telephone dialing automated response method via landline and mobile phones from April 26 to May 1 and from May 28 to June 2, targeting 13,600 men and women aged 18 and over nationwide (800 per metropolitan city and province for April-May).
