'Present and Future Marine Industry at a Glance'... 2024 International Marine & Safety Expo Opens on the 19th in Incheon
The Korea Coast Guard and Incheon City will hold the '2024 International Maritime and Safety Expo' at Songdo Convensia in Incheon from the 19th to the 21st. Now in its 7th year, the exhibition is the only maritime-specialized expo in the metropolitan area where visitors can get an overview of the maritime industry.
142 companies from the maritime, safety, and shipbuilding sectors are participating, and eight themed pavilions covering shipbuilding, aviation, safety and leisure, navigation communication equipment, small shipbuilding, workboats, and more will showcase the present and future of the maritime shipbuilding industry.
Additionally, maritime law enforcement agencies from 20 Asian countries, overseas buyers of shipbuilding equipment from 10 countries, equipment purchasing officers from the Korea Coast Guard, and shipyard representatives will participate as buyers to conduct one-on-one business consultations with companies.
Various programs for citizens will also be offered, including CPR experience, trying on Coast Guard uniforms and life jackets, ship safety VR experiences, and job fairs. The 'Sea Man Contest' and 'Maritime Safety Challenge Golden Bell' will also be held.

View original imageDuring the exhibition, various academic conferences and seminars such as the Spring Academic Presentation of the Marine Environment Safety Society, the International Shipbuilding and Maritime Conference, and the Next-Generation Warship Development Conference will be held, providing a platform for maritime professionals to exchange technical information.
Kim Jong-wook, Commissioner of the Korea Coast Guard, said, "Through the International Maritime and Safety Expo, we hope that South Korea's advanced equipment, technology, and safety culture will spread overseas and serve as a stepping stone to becoming a global pivotal nation."

The Korea Coast Guard offers various supports such as free shuttle buses from Gwangmyeong Station, KTX discounts, and Incheon city tour bus discounts to encourage many visitors to attend the event.
