Chungnam Province Secures Market for K-Products in Hungary
Signed $3.98 Million Contracts Including Gim and Red Ginseng at Export Consultation Meeting
Chungnam Province has expanded the scope of its local diplomacy by securing sales channels for K-products in Hungary.
On the 17th (local time), the Chungnam Overseas Market Development Team held an export consultation meeting at the Corinthia Hotel in Budapest, Hungary.
Eleven companies from the province, including those producing gim (seaweed), red ginseng, and red pepper powder, participated in the export consultation, while 24 local companies showed great interest in K-products.
Companies from the province conducted one-on-one consultations with local buyers, signing two export MOUs worth $1.04 million and planning to pursue 36 contracts worth $3.98 million.
Additionally, Governor Kim Tae-heum met with Gergely Fabian, Deputy Minister of Hungary, and ?d?m Kar?thoni, Deputy Governor of Pest Province, to agree on cooperation.
Governor Kim said, "Hungary was the first country in Eastern Europe to establish diplomatic relations with Korea in 1989, and in 2021, the relationship was elevated to a strategic partnership, making it a close ally. I hope that during the Chungnam Visit Year 2025-2026, many Hungarian citizens will visit and enjoy Chungnam's world cultural heritage and natural environment."
