Prosecutors Arrest and Indict Group Employing Japanese Women for Procuring Prostitution
A group that systematically employed Japanese women to mediate prostitution has been brought to trial.
On the 18th, the Women's and Children's Crime Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Kim Ji-hye) announced that Yoon Mo and manager Park Mo, who systematically employed Japanese women to mediate prostitution, were arrested and indicted on charges of violating the Act on the Punishment of Acts of Prostitution (prostitution mediation, etc.). Yoon was indicted the day before, and Kim was indicted on the 28th of last month.

View original imageAccording to the prosecution, they brought Japanese women into the country to mediate prostitution, and for those who were Japanese adult film actresses, they received prostitution fees ranging from 1.3 million to 2.5 million KRW per session.
Additionally, the prosecution took measures to confiscate and preserve seizure of assets such as rental deposits and vehicles owned by the defendants in order to recover approximately 300 million KRW in criminal proceeds obtained from operating prostitution establishments.
