On the 18th, the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education signed a business agreement with Ansan City at the southern office of the Suwon Provincial Office of Education to establish the international school.
After its establishment, Gyeonggi Ansan International School will focus on ▲ education that fosters harmony between multicultural and general students ▲ enhancing international competencies ▲ strengthening English and second foreign language education with a bilingual advantage ▲ global leader education that develops international sensibility and capabilities ▲ IB education ▲ career and college admission guidance supporting domestic and overseas universities ▲ and regionally specialized cultural and arts education.
In particular, through building a local community network, customized education tailored to the region will be conducted in cooperation with nearby facilities such as golf courses, equestrian centers, and yacht clubs in Daebudo.
Lim Tae-hee, Superintendent of Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education, emphasized, "Balance means recognizing diversity, not judging what is different from oneself as wrong, but perceiving it as something new," adding, "When different things converge, something new is created."
He continued, "Starting with Ansan International School, I hope that everyone living in Korea, despite different backgrounds, will have new opportunities and succeed through education."
