Breaking Ground for 'Boni Village Life Care Center' in Bono-dong, Ansan in July
The ‘Boni Village Life Care Center,’ a key facility of the urban regeneration project in Bono-dong, Ansan-si, Gyeonggi-do, will break ground in July.
The Ansan Bono urban regeneration project, selected in the 2019 Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport public contest, is divided into ▲Boni Village Life Care Center ▲Smart Care Service ▲Care Manager Training ▲Park Renewal and Underground Parking Lot Construction ▲Green Care Living Street Development.
The newly constructed ‘Boni Village Life Care Center’ will be built at 796-4 Bono-dong, Ansan-si, with one basement floor and four above-ground floors, covering a total floor area of 4,048.24㎡.
The center will be developed as a community care center for residents’ communal activities and care service provision through the renewal of the Bono 2-dong Administrative Welfare Center, enhancing the functions of the existing administrative welfare center.
The center is scheduled for completion in 2026 and will provide practical community care services in cooperation with nearby universities and related institutions.
Kim Tae-su, Director of Urban Regeneration at Gyeonggi-do, stated, "I am confident that the Ansan Bono urban regeneration project will greatly contribute to the development and revitalization of the local community," adding, "We will continue to actively cooperate with cities and counties to improve living conditions in the old downtown areas."

Meanwhile, Gyeonggi-do has achieved the highest number nationwide with 66 sites selected in government urban regeneration public contests by collaborating with cities, counties, and urban regeneration support centers to revitalize declining old downtown areas. Including 13 Gyeonggi-do-type urban regeneration projects, a total of 79 urban regeneration projects are being promoted.
