Boseong-gun, Yulpo Solbat Beach Opens on July 6
Busy Welcoming Guests, Facility Inspection, and Deployment of Safety Personnel
Boseong-gun, Jeollanam-do has completed thorough preparations including facility safety inspections and the deployment of safety personnel ahead of the opening of Yulpo Solbat Beach.
Yulpo Solbat Beach will be open from July 6 to August 25 and is equipped with convenience facilities such as one Integrated Safety Management Center building, one tourist information center, three shower facilities, two drinking fountains, two restrooms, and one changing room.
Located in Dongyul-ri, Hoecheon-myeon, Boseong-gun, the beach features a pine forest, silver sand, and the Yulpo Seawater Green Tea Center, making it popular among vacationers who enjoy barefoot walking, camping, and swimming.
Near the beach, there are various attractions including the Yulpo Seawater Green Tea Center, Hoecheon Seafood Wholesale Market, Boseong Bibong Dinosaur Park, Bibong Marina, and Sea Fishing Park. It is also easy to access major tourist spots such as the tea fields, Botjae, and the Korea Tea Museum, which are representative tourist destinations of Boseong.
In particular, the Yulpo Seawater Green Tea Center, operated directly by Boseong-gun, offers an open-air bath with a sea view from the third floor and includes facilities such as a playroom.
Additionally, the bathhouse uses clean bedrock seawater drawn from 120 meters underground and green tea water brewed from tea leaves, allowing visitors to enjoy bathing right after outdoor water activities, making it a popular spot for families.
A county official stated, “Yulpo Solbat Beach does not charge admission or parking fees, and camping is freely allowed, so many people visit regardless of the season. We will do our best to maintain safety and cleanliness at this pleasant resort by operating a comprehensive safety management control room, conducting frequent facility inspections, and carrying out disinfection activities.”
