Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters (Director: So Yooseop) conducted a three-day specialized training program on nuclear power system facilities for local government officials from nationwide radiation emergency planning zones and representatives from civilian environmental monitoring centers from the 12th to the 14th.
Local government officials near the nuclear power plant, who participated in specialized training for nuclear power system facilities, visited the Saewool Construction Observatory.

Since last year, Saeul Headquarters has been providing training with experts from Saeul Headquarters and the Human Resources Development Institute as instructors, aiming to enhance the understanding of nuclear power plants and strengthen emergency radiation response capabilities among local government officials and related institutions responsible for nuclear emergency response tasks.
Park Jongpil, an official from Ulsan City, said, "There have been few opportunities for systematic education on nuclear power plants, so it was difficult to understand information provided by the plant during shutdowns or radiological emergency drills, but this training has resolved many of my questions."
Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters plans to provide customized training for firefighting officials in July and August, and will continue to offer education on nuclear power system facilities.
