Jeongeup-si, On-site Inspection of Jeongeupcheon Hot Place Development Project

Lee Hak-su, former mayor of Jeongeup-si, Jeollabuk-do, inspected the construction site of the water-themed facility project at Jeongeupcheon Hot Place on the 14th.

The city conducted a final inspection of the maze fountain construction site and held a design service briefing for the wall fountain in relation to the Jeongeupcheon Hot Place project, a tourism pledge project of the 8th local government administration.

At this on-site briefing, the maze fountain construction site at Jeongeupcheon Hot Place was finally inspected to ensure smooth operation of the Jeongeupcheon maze fountain.

In addition, a progress report meeting on the design service for the wall fountain, scheduled to be completed by June next year, was also held.

The maze fountain is a complex floor fountain that can be used for the nation’s first music fountain performances, maze fountain displays, water play-type water facilities, and mirror ponds.

The city started construction in December last year, plans to complete it by the end of June this year, and will provide various attractions and entertainment starting with music fountain performances from July 6.

It is also planned to be used as a summer water playground from July 13 to August 18.

The wall fountain is a facility combining water screens, night scenery, and fountains utilizing the Jeongeupcheon embankment, and is scheduled to be fully operated from June next year to develop Jeongeupcheon into a tourist hot place.

Mayor Lee Hak-su said, “By providing various attractions and entertainment themed around water at Jeongeupcheon, we expect not only to attract tourists but also to offer a resting space for citizens,” adding, “We will strive to revitalize the local economy, create jobs, and improve the quality of life for citizens.”
