Chungnam Office of Education Promotes Character Education Linked to Confucian Culture
Agreement with the Korea Confucian Culture Promotion Institute
The Chungnam Office of Education is promoting character education imbued with the spirit of Seonbi.
On the 13th, the Office of Education signed a business agreement with the Korea Confucian Culture Promotion Institute to promote character education linked to Confucian culture.
According to the agreement, both organizations plan to discover and expand projects for "character education unique to Chungnam that harmonizes tradition and modernity."
The Korea Confucian Culture Promotion Institute is the nation's first specialized institution for Confucian culture and operates various character education programs aiming for the globalization of "K-Confucianism."

Superintendent Kim Ji-cheol stated, "The spirit of Seonbi, which cultivates scholarship and virtue for the perfection of character, aligns with the meaning of character education as specified in the Character Education Promotion Act. We will do our best to implement practice-centered character education involving families, schools, and local communities."
