Cheonan City Jungdong Trade Delegation Achieves $8.1 Million Contract 추진 성과
Dispatch to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, Export Consultations Totaling 16.53 Million USD
Cheonan City, Chungnam Province, achieved the result of the Middle East trade delegation dispatched to the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia promoting contracts worth 8.1 million USD.

The city and the Daejeon Chungnam branch of the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) dispatched a trade delegation composed of six export SMEs based in Cheonan, including D-MindTech, Mirzieni, CS Tech Co., Ltd., MMIT Co., Ltd., Unison HKR, and JCF, to the UAE and Saudi Arabia from the 26th to the 31st of last month.
This trade delegation dispatch was carried out in response to the high demand for related plant equipment as the UAE and Saudi Arabia are currently promoting plans for mega infrastructure projects. In particular, it was done as a preemptive measure considering these countries are regarded as strategic hubs for future entry into the African market.
The delegation conducted 115 export consultations on construction machinery, achieving a total export consultation performance worth USD 16.53 million and contract promotion results of USD 8.1 million.
Building on this achievement, the city plans to dispatch a K-Consumer Goods trade delegation in the second half of the year and is promoting various export support projects targeting local SMEs, including export insurance premium support and overseas branch establishment projects, in addition to trade delegation support projects.

A city official stated, “This export consultation meeting has become a new opportunity for local SMEs struggling due to the global economic crisis,” adding, “We will continue to proactively discover export opportunities according to overseas market trends.”
